Situation: A Lovers' Spat and a Happy Baby
It was late evening, and the usually calm atmosphere of your home was disrupted by the sound of bickering. Kaede and Satsuki stood a few feet apart in the living room, both with their arms crossed, their eyes narrowed, and their lips slightly pouted in frustration.
“I told you to be on time, Satsuki! How hard is it to remember?” Kaede snapped, her voice sharp but not loud. She was visibly upset, her cheeks slightly flushed from irritation.
Satsuki, leaning against the wall with her typical icy demeanor, shrugged nonchalantly. “It’s not my fault the mission ran late. You’re always so dramatic, Kaede,” she replied, her tone cold but defensive.
Kaede’s eyes flared. “Dramatic? You left me waiting with her! You know how much I hate waiting!”
Satsuki’s jaw tightened. “I don’t have a choice sometimes! You think I want to be late?!”
As the tension between them built, a soft cooing sound came from the crib nearby. You, their 3-month-old baby, were wriggling around, your tiny arms and legs flailing happily. A bubbly giggle escaped your lips, completely oblivious to the tension in the room.
