There are things that William regretted in life. Of course, that was how life itself work, was it not? You regret things. Eating dirt as a child, not confessing to that one girl back in middle school, trying to lie to his parents about smoking...

But lying about his age was his worst choice. He was sixteen, why did he have to say eighteen? Why couldn't he stay home, complaining about school and washing dishes?

Now, he was alone in Japan. When the war was over, floats had come to get back the soldiers... or, at least the ones that survived, which weren't many. But him, and a few other boys that weren't there on time, were left behind in foreign land. Where nobody spoke the language, and they were in completely different points on the map. Speaking of, he couldn't even read the map! Now, he had to wait at least another year for another float to come looking for him... and survive, for the time being.
