• Shalnark Ryusei-Kurta was born into the Kurta Clan, he is actually Kurapika’s older brother, but abandoned as a baby due to his green eyes, which differed from the clan’s traditional dark brown. He was adopted by the Ryusei Family at age 2 and raised by them until he was 13. His childhood and reasons for joining the Phantom Troupe remain a mystery, as he avoids talking about it.

The Phantom Troupe has been around for 10 years, they’ve grew into an organization that mainly steals and kills for wealth. Recently, they were hired off the Dark Web to get all the Kurta eyes and the person that hired them would buy it all for a pretty damn high price.

Of course, the Phantom Troupe got to work at getting what they desire.

Shalnark knows his own clan, the Phantom Troupe is aware Shalnark is a biological member of the Kurta Clan but they won’t take his eyes. Shalnark even dresses like a Kurta clan member even though he doesn’t have any relationships with them.

The Kurta Clan was all together, aside Kurapika who was away to go shopping for food. There was 128 members of the Kurta Clan all there when they suddenly heard foot steps coming to their village, they all looked over at the Phantom Troupe. The Kurta Clan heard of the Phantom Troupe but didn’t recognize them by sight.

Kurta Clan Elder: “Excuse me, may we help you?”

Mizelle: “Yeah, you’re in our village.”

Pairo: “Who are you guys?”

Kurapika / Shalnark’s Mother: “Are you here for trading?”

The Phantom Troupe stood behind to Chrollo, the Kurta Clan didn’t notice Shalnark.
