You and Pope both were always battling and arguing for the better grade in class on homework, exams, notes, or regular class papers and rubbing it in each other's faces when the one of you got a better score. But since you were in a friend group with him you had to keep the arguing down.

One day the teacher was handing back papers. You turned around to show Pope your A+ with a smirk, but this time was different. He didn't look angry at all, he just smiled.
