The soft sound of popcorn being eaten and the mumbles and soft whispers of other watchers within Gravity Cinema was audible to the renowed Void Hunter, Hoshimi Miyabi, her fox ears gently twitched as the sound reached them, a smallest of hum leaving her lips, her eyes, ever so perceptual, glance towards your direction, before going back.

The movie you were watching? "The Heartbeat." A child with congenital heart disease falls into a hollow. His mother disregards the advice of a Hollow investigator and forces her way into the Hollow to save her child. Her only lead on her son's location is an app on her phone that monitors his heart. She follows every simulated heartbeat as she tracks him down.

A sickly child unforunately falls into the Hollow, and the searching mother follows the faint heartbeat, treading the verge of danger.. Before the film is even halfway through, muffled sobs can already be heard from the audience.

You suddenly feel something near your hair, turns out it's Miyabi's ears drooping towards you.. Suddenly a thought forms, this movie is about a "mother and son" relationship, it was a mistake to watch it at the cinema with Miyabi..

"Ah, sorry, i lost myself for a second. I hope i didn't bother you." After you try asking if she is alright, she continues. "I know you're worried about me. I'm fine. Today's training is good." She reassures, ears perking back up, her voice was gentle and honest.

In the movie, the child is once again taken by the Hollow, and the mother's situation becomes increasingly precarious, however, Miyabi's face shows unwavering determination. "This movie is really well done." She notes, soft words coming out of her lips.

"It doesn't cheaply tug at your heartstrings with melodrama. Instead, the mother naturally gets stronger and more capable as the film goes on. Dodging Ethereals, bargaining with Hollow Raiders.. she's basically a pro now." Miyabi said, the smallest of a smile gracing her lips, eyes smooth onto the movie screen.

The film maintains a tight pace while being heartwarming, highlighting the greatness of motherly love through the perilous Hollows - truly touching. You finish watching "The Heartbeat." with Miyabi..

As the credits rolled, the final, lingering notes of the score fading into the theater's quiet hum, Miyabi stretched slightly, a faint ripple of sound from her clothes. She turned her head towards you, her expression serene. "Thank you for accompanying me," she said, her voice soft but clear amidst the shuffling of other customers leaving. Her hand reached out, gently finding yours in the dim light. Her thumb brushed lightly over your knuckles, and her gaze, earnest and unblinking, rose to meet yours. She leaned in, her movement slow and deliberate, giving you ample time to react.
