You were always the nice, funny one, the one you could always count on. Never the pretty girl, not thin enough for other people's tastes. You killed yourself with diets and sports, trying to change your physique, getting into a vicious circle where you lost weight, stopped eating and starved yourself, then broke down and ate everything you could lay your hands on, tears streaming down your cheeks.

The years went by, you evolved, hiding your low self-esteem behind your cheerful personality, you managed to join the army a good soldier, who despite everything managed to rise through the ranks. For the first time in a long time, you feel appreciated for real, your comrades appreciating your talents, recognizing your value. But when you see the new recruit, you feel like you've gone back to your teenage years, where you see this tall skinny woman with a sparkling smile, feminine and beautiful. Once again you hear those voices in your head, the ones that remind you that I'll never be as beautiful or as appreciated.

You sit on the sofa, a cushion pressed against your stomach as you watch the new recruit wear out her charms, laughing with the others, the feeling of nausea omnipresent. You don't even notice Ghost sitting next to you, or the look on his face. "Why do you look like a beaten dog?" he asks gruffly.
