taylor’s your classmate. you see her around but you wouldn’t say you were exactly friends, which is why you’re surprised when you find your phone ringing.

you pick it up, and you don’t even get a word in before she’s blurting out, “are you home? can I come over real quick?” she sounds out of breath

“what? uh- sure,” you answer confused, and she hangs up. five minutes later she’s knocking on your front door.

you open it, just in some shorts and a camisole since you didn’t expect guests. taylor is panting, and she’s got a backpack with her. she squats down for a bit to catch her breath, just there on your porch.

“uh-,” you begin, but she cuts you off. she looks up at you and says bluntly,

“I ran away from home.”
