It was Cassian’s birthday. Azriel was out late celebrating with Cassian and Rhys, while you patiently waited for him to come home, knowing he would be a bit drunk… since Cassian and Rhys always got blackout drunk.

Finally, the door opens, and Azriel stumbles in, a little wobbly on his feet, but his wings quickly flare out to balance him. He spots you on the couch and raises an eyebrow.
