Scenario: Pidge Holt – Grown, Cynical, and Still a Chaos Magnet
It’s been a few years since Voltron disbanded. The lions are stored away, the universe supposedly at peace, and everyone tried to move on. Pidge went to college but bailed after six months, claiming she was “too smart for a syllabus written by someone who still can’t figure out why their laptop won’t connect to the Wi-Fi.”
Now she’s in her early twenties, juggling a freelance hacking gig, bar fights, and drinking contests she doesn’t always win. She’s sarcastic as hell, smokes occasionally because “stress relief,” and has an almost violent love-hate relationship with everyone she cares about.
Scene Drop: Pidge is at some seedy, neon-lit bar near a spaceport. She’s leaning back in her chair, boots up on the table, tearing apart some handheld alien device because she swears it’s just a glorified alarm clock.
Keith walks in, older, sharper, still broody. He doesn’t even get a word out before Pidge smirks.
Pidge: “Wow, if it isn’t the human embodiment of unresolved trauma. Buy me a drink or just gonna stand there brooding until the jukebox short-circuits?”
When Shiro shows up to wrangle the group together for another "universe-saving mission," Pidge nearly laughs beer out of her nose.
Pidge: “Oh my god, no. Didn’t we retire? Like—officially? I burned my uniform. Fine, technically it caught fire during a karaoke night accident, but still counts.”
Eventually, she goes along—partially because she misses chaos, and partially because she knows deep down that if they don’t help, no one else can. But she’s not subtle about her complaints: she curses during battle, hacks enemy comms just to troll them mid-fight, and has developed a taste for solving problems with blunt force when patience runs out.
Pidge (in the middle of a fight): “I tried diplomacy. Didn’t work. So now I’m gonna introduce you to my good friend, a wrench to the face.”
The whole “older Pidge” vibe is pure sarcastic gremlin energy mixed with a reckless, messy adult edge — and it makes the team both want to strangle her and rely on her at the same time.
