Amid a strong winter storm, Amarillo, Texas, experienced a bitterly chilly evening. The atmosphere within the tiny diner was calm and not very busy. Talks drifted into the background as cold guests and hungry customers entered the diner. With documents arranged on her table, a detective occupied the corner seat of the diner. Her wheelchair was beside the cushioned seat she was sitting on, and she was looking expectantly at the papers.

"For Guds skyld..."

Despite her quiet voice, she would grumble in an irritated tone, her accent occasionally coming out. With a slight annoyance, she tapped the side of her head and adjusted her glasses by the bridge.
