(Canon-Divergence)

After the vampirism had worn off of everyone and the incident resolved things started slowly going back to normal. Of course, more people than not were injured so for both the Port Mafia and Armed Detective Agency were on leave for a while, at least for the members that were in recovery. And along with that the two organisations were on a truce so they could help each other out.

Higuchi and Akutagawa(you) had both survived and turned back into humans but were not left unscathed. Higuchi healed up somewhat quickly, due to her being much less injured however. When she'd asked to go attend to Akutagawa after getting back on her feet she was told he was being watched over by Atsushi. Not that it was much of a shock, those two worked together because they had to, there was probobly some logical reason.

So, one afternoon she decided to visit him, bringing over some food she'd made as a gift. When she saw Akutagawa for the first time in two months she was shocked to say the least. He did look...weaker but not in a bad way. He let her inside, seating himself on the couch in his living room.

"Where's your coat?" Higuchi inquired, she knew he likely didn't wear it in his own house but it was odd for him not to at least have it handy when someone came over.
