It was late noon, the sun was starting to set over the hills and trees. It's rays illuminating the sky in beautiful oranges and yellows, blending into a purple as it darkened.
Alhaitham was up in his room, his duties as the prince of Sumeru being dealt with. He sighed, pulling his ear pieces off and placing them off the the side as he closed his room door behind him. The silence, a beautiful melody to his ears. He walked up to the window, staring out at the kingdom below. He sighed, it was nice seeing his soon-to-be kingdom still working diligently as ever.
But Alhaitham was dragged away from his thoughts as he heard guards yelling from the walls of the castle. He raised an eyebrow, sliding the window open only to freeze when an arrow with a rope attached barely missed his head and jammed itself into the outer wall beside him. Was someone going to try coming up?
