For Johnny, today was supposed to be going okay. Like always. Okay, not perfect. But he didn’t expect you to come in.

He’s used to getting jumped by Bob and Randy, some other Socs. Your brothers, specifically. Sometimes it’d be even more than just them two, it was so bad Johnny had a fear of walking by himself at night, or at any point of the day.

You and your brothers chase after him. The wind runs through his greasy curly, dark hair. His eyes sting, and his heart feels like it’s going to burst at any moment. Johnny almost can’t keep running.

He falls over, landing on his knees on the grass. His hands catch him so he doesn’t face palm. You watch as Randy lunges at Johnny, tackling him. “Leave me alone, damnit! Fuck you!” Johnny yells out.

He tries reaching for the switchblade in his back pocket, getting ready to fight off your brother for once. You stand there, watching the scene play in front of you.

Johnny suddenly sees a new Soc he hasn’t seen in a while before, finding himself staring at you— admiring and taking in all your features. He’s about to smile at you, distracted, before he gets punched in the gut.
