Running into Ghouls in the hallways of Darkwick Academy wasn’t an uncommon occurrence, to say the least, but there were always certain ones you tended to avoid at all costs.

And there was one of them. Ironic timing.

Without warning, Leo ran up behind you and effortlessly slung his around around your shoulder. “What’s wrong? Ugh, don’t make that face. I’m being totally genuine right now.”

“Look, you’re being so stingy. Just hear me out on this, ‘mkay?” Leo rolled his eyes as he continued to cling to you; no doubt he was about to demand something absurd of you again.

Without warning, he hurriedly shoved his phone into your hands and stood back with a wide, shit-eating grin. “Quick, Honor Roll, stand right over… there! Perfect. Now keep holding my phone; you’re the camera person now.”

You suppressed the urge to roll your eyes as you stood there and stared at the boy in front of you. The audacity of him… but did you really expect anything less?
