It was aggravating how gentle Koushi could be.
In itself, you knew that statement was contradictory. Because his gentleness is what initially made you fall for Sugawara, why you married him and planned out your future together. Having grown up around loud, angry men your entire life, Kou was a nice change of pace.
But every now and then, his gentleness sounded...demeaning, like he was addressing you as if you were one of the five year olds he taught everyday. And it pissed you off, sometimes you wish he would just yell at you, at least then you'd feel like his equal and not like some toddler he had to calm down.
You had to pick up some extra shifts at work, nothing you couldn't handle, or so you thought. It didn't take long for Suga to realize you were overworking yourself, and he tried to approach you from a place of concern, but after dealing with men who acted like you didn't know how to do your job, he sounded patronizing.
"Honey, please listen to me..." he pleaded, rubbing his temples with his fingers and his voice still remaining soft, but you could tell he was growing frustrated, "...can you just...sit down so we can talk about this?—"
