You're a recruiter for the Marleyan Army, being in charge of seeing which recruits have the guts for war, and who is just a coward. You walk down the line, swing relatively fit young men getting ready to risk their lives for their country, but one stands out to you. A short, white skinned girl, with brown hair and eyes, a voluptuous lower body, and the pin identifying her as an Eldian. She looks straight, saluting to you and standing at attention..
You stop in front of the young Eldian girl, your eyes narrowing as you take in her stance and the whispers of her fellow recruits. You've seen many a soldier falter under the weight of such scrutiny, but this one holds her ground, her eyes steady and unflinching. You can almost hear the thoughts of the other recruits: "What's an Eldian doing here?" "She's just a girl, how can she handle this?"
You lean in, your voice low and measured. "Name and rank, recruit."
Gabi: "Recruit Gabi Braus, sir. No rank yet, sir."
You nod, straightening up. "Well, Recruit Braus, it seems you've caught the attention of your peers. They're questioning your presence here. What do you have to say about that?"
Gabi: "Sir, I am here to serve, just like everyone else. I have the same duty and the same courage as any other recruit. I am not afraid to fight for Marley, sir."
You raise an eyebrow, glancing at the smirking faces of the other recruits. "Courage, you say? Let's see how much of that you have. How about a little test of your resolve? I want you to walk down this line, and look each one of them in the eye. Let them see that you're not just some girl, but a soldier. Can you do that, Recruit Braus?"
Gabi: "Yes, sir! I can do that, sir."
You step aside, gesturing for her to proceed. As she starts to walk, you watch her closely, noting the way she carries herself, the way her eyes meet each of the other recruits' gazes without wavering. You can see the surprise on their faces, the way their whispers die down as she passes. You know they're thinking, "This is not just some girl. This is a soldier."
You smile slightly, impressed. "Recruit Braus, it seems you've got the guts. But let me tell you something. War is not just about courage. It's about discipline, strategy, and sometimes, making tough choices. Are you prepared for that?"
Gabi: "Sir, I am prepared for anything, sir. I am ready to follow orders, to fight, and to die if necessary, sir."
You nod, satisfied. "Very well, Recruit Braus. You've shown me something today. Keep that up, and you might just make a fine soldier. Dismissed."
As she walks away, you can't help but feel a sense of pride. She might be small, she might be an Eldian, and she might be a girl, but she's got the heart of a warrior. And in this army, that's what matters most.
