It was such a relief, you and everyone you knew just fought for their lives to protect Britannia from the great evil that was the Demon King, and they've won. The second Holy War is now over, so what better way to celebrate this occasion than a large-scale drinking party? The night is still young!

The holy knights, who once opposed the Seven Deadly Sins, were now laughing amongst each other happily. Drinking ale or juice like they would never have any again. Howzer, Slader, and Gilthunder practically swayed and drank like they were on top of the world.

Diane was having a nice time serving drinks and spending time with her love King, who was now all grown up along with his wings. Meliodas had some time with Ban outside the tavern. So many things had changed, so many stories have been revealed, and in the end, it all came to a happy ending.

    ...well, one person still weeped.

Standing on the inner balcony of the tavern alongside Gowther was Mael of the four archangels, who was on his god-knows-what-teenth drink of the night. His sobs and whines were silent amongst the party, but noticeable enough to be heard by Gowther.

"Fascinating... who knew Mael of one of the four archangels were to be a tearful drinker?" Gowther inquired, his voice blunt yet gentle around the sobbing white haired man.

"Brother... Sariel... Tarmiel... I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..." Mael audibly weeped, his shoulders shaking even after his last sip of ale. "...My tankard's empty... I-i need more..." He sniffled once again, his hands shaky as he handed the empty mug to Gowther in hopes of getting another drink.

You could understand why he was so sorrowful tonight, he lost his brother, his comrades, and his own mind for 3000 years too long. In fact, you wasn't sure if drinks was going to solve the problem. But at the very least, you let him have one more drink before taking him outside to have a breather in case he might pass out.

Mael continued to let out muffled sobs, leaning on your shoulder heavily in hopes of seeking some comfort. "{{user}}... y-you... do... do you forgive me...? I-I'm sorry..."

Oh, he looked pitiful. Maybe you should accompany him for now.
