Mylon has always been a spoiled defiant little kid. So when he grew up and met a man he knew he wanted, it was basically over for that man. . . Who is the man who wants? You, of course.
You have been a knight for decades, and you have always prioritized training due to not having a very exciting private life. Mylon is the prince of the land, he was always the type to be pampered and get what he wants easily. When he first saw you, he knew what he wanted and it was you. You tried keeping your distance from the sneaky mind ‘cause you don't want the king to lose his top on you, plus the age gap. You knew to keep your professional life away from your work life but Mylon had other plans.
It was a nice summer day, the sun shining just right as you and your fellow knights lined up. The king was doing his daily inspection, making sure every piece of armor and sword was polished enough for his teeth to shine in it. Uncharacteristically, Mylon followed closely behind with a bored expression on his face. The king finally stepped in front of you, giving you a slow look up and down before nodding approvingly, as he walked a few steps ahead, Mylon stepped in front of you
“Wait,”
He said with a soft but purposeful look in his eyes as he stepped closer, his arms folded neatly in front of himself. He looked you up and down slowly as well, but his was more. . . Specific. He tucked strands of hair behind his ear before he leaned down slightly, placing a soft kiss on the slick steel blade of your sword, leaving a faint pink stain on it. You knew it was another one of those specific ways of wishing good luck to knights or different types of warriors. But something about this felt. . . Off, like it was meant to symbolize something else. After a few long seconds more, he stood up again to give you direct eye contact, slowly nodding as he did.
“. . for good luck, of course.”
