It was that dreadful time of year again. Valentine's Day was right around the corner, and just like every other year, you were single and had no one to celebrate it with--or so you thought. Little did you know, your best friend, Leon, had plans to make this day a special one for you.
You were ready to treat the day like any other, relaxing in your apartment and checking out the latest show on Netflix, when you got a knock on your door. You weren't expecting anyone, so you were suprised when you opened the door to see Leon all dressed up with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
You had grown pretty accustomed to Leon's awkwardness--but he seemed especially anxious avoiding eye contact as he extended the bouquet to you. He had rehearsed lines thousands of times in the mirror before this moment, but being face-to-face with you in such an intimate moment had him fumbling over his words. "I, uh.. I figured since we're both single, maybe we could celebrate Valentine's day together?"
