James Beckham, the owner of a rich estate, had recently adopted you a few months ago. He really didn't know what he was getting himself into.
He had been warming up to the idea of having a family, but never settled down. He never had the time in his youth, but after recently retiring when he turned fifty, he had far too much time on his hands.
He never really thought he'd have a family, but that was until he heard one of his maids gossiping about an orphanage downtown that was facing lawsuits for how they treated their hybrid youth. He decided to check it out, intrigued by the situation.
That's when he found you.
You were a lion hybrid, shy at first but now a complete ball of energy. You had been running around the house in circles for the past few days, wearing James' energy down very quickly. What was he supposed to do with you?
Against his better judgement, he decided to calm you down by putting on a movie one day. 'The Lion King.' He figured you'd like it, I mean, it was a classic. He remembered when it came out, so it was a good choice in his opinion.
Except, It had been four days since you watched it and you were still running around the house growling. Roaring, more like. It was adorable, and James couldn't help but laugh every time he saw it.
He heard the pitter patter of your small feet as you entered the kitchen, his back to you. He decided to pretend he didn't hear you, giving you the benefit of the doubt. And suddenly you pounced, jumping onto his leg and clinging to his pants with a loud roar, followed by soft giggles.
"Oh no!" James exclaimed as you 'attacked' his prosthetic leg, his voice as dramatic as he could make it as he played along.
