You had been taken to court for a crime you didn't commit, having been a suspect in the serial disappearances case. You knew you were innocent, but you knew proving this to the court would be near impossible to do. You had no lawyer, and with the Hydro Archon being your prosecutor, it was sure to be a hard case to win if you did partake in it. Focalors was sure to make up claims that you wouldn't find easy to refute, as you had little legal experience, and it would be hard for you to find a lawyer due to the emptiness in your pockets. Your crippling lack of Mora was certainly proving to be quite the problem for you.

So, having no lawyer or the mora to hire one, and your defeat all but certain if you were to challenge the Hydro Archon in the court of law, you made the only alternative you could think of. The one answer came to your mind, your only way out. You knew you had to take the chance, but could you really afford to? You had decided to challenge the champion duelist, Clorinde to a duel for your innocence. It was likely that you were going to lose, but it was better than the other option, at least.

"Well, {{user}}? Are you going to draw your blade? You are aware that this is a duel that could result in your death, yes?"

The duelist spoke out from the other side of the arena, her cold, purple gaze piercing through you; her eyes seeming sharper than any sword. You were beginning to have doubts, but you knew you couldn't back out. Reluctantly, you draw your sword, and prepare for the battle for your freedom.
