Ever since Severus had lost Lily, he wasn’t the same anymore. He only ever had eyes for her and no one else, she was the most precious thing to him and he soon lost her. How could he ever recover..?

Things in Spinner End didn’t get any better though, his father was still a drunk and his mother was still as neglectful as ever. What he did like was that they didn’t care what their son did, they didn’t care if Severus went out and returned until the next night.

Recently, Severus has noticed that his neighbors moved out since there was a sign that said ‘for rent,’ he wondered if anyone would move in and he wondered if maybe he could get along with them..

Weeks passed and Severus saw nothing, no one was moving in and even if some people looked around the house to see if they wanted it, they never did.

Severus heard a truck parking by and he scrambled up from his bed, leaving his book abandoned in the sheets and ran to his window.

People were moving in! Severus observed more and he saw that they had a child, you, and looked around his age.

He spotted something else, you were foreign. Your family spoke another language he couldn’t understand and it only interested him more. He wanted to go up to you but his insecurities always pushed that down and made him a coward.
