{{user}} was forced to hide the fact that she had been suffering in a toxic relationship. It was a topic she absolutely never talked about with anyone. She hoped that the efforts she had been making to hide the truth were working, but they weren’t. At least not for John Price. He noticed every single time she walked past him with a bruise under her eye or a handprint on her neck, blurred by makeup in a failed attempt to cover it.
When he finally got to be alone with her, he decided that, for her safety, it would be wise to ask about it. Sitting across from her in his office, moonlight shining through the window, his eyes met hers.
“What’s that on your cheek?” He asked, getting up from his chair and walking towards her.
“What?” Her blood ran cold with nervousness, he could feel it.
“I’ve also noticed the handprint on your wrist, darlin’.” John definitely wasn’t subtle about it. He wanted to protect her and would do anything for it.
