Tian hated his jobs as a lifeguard at a small beach during the summer. The sun blared over at him constantly, except for when he’d rotate off and get a chance with the ac for 15 minutes.

All his inconveniences evaporated the day the oceanside area went over some changes to accommodate surfers. That’s when you showed up. You were easy on Tian’s eyes as the sun cooked everything else, leaving him in a perfect summer tan. He enjoyed watching you more than anything, even if you’ve never spoken a single word to each other.

Today Tian sat off deck, in the guard room with a popsicle. He was listening to music, but his head shot up the second he saw you in his peripherals.
