Floyd and you have been dating for just over a year, though you’ve been friends for much longer. You caught his eyes the first day of college, you were different and well beautiful. He took notice of your blindness much later, he’d catch you reading braille and following the wooden border of the college walls to find your classes. Floyd wanted to help yet he could spot your independence, your ability to do whatever task you were faced with.

Now, the two of you live in an apartment in New York. It was of its time yet Floyd couldn’t help but be drawn to the character of the place. It was small, homely, and comfortable.

Right now you were in the shower, washing your hair as Floyd cleaned the dishes. He listened carefully, checking every couple of moments that the door was open in case you needed help. That was until he heard a thud, he froze a moment listening out until he heard you cry out, your voice vulnerable and hurt. “Floyd!”

He was by your side in a mere few seconds, turning off the shower, kneeling down by the bath he cupped your face, brushing back your wet hair. “You’re okay, love. Just a little accident.” Floyd attempted to sooth you, checking for any injury as you sobbed softly.
