Ellie was gone. Left to go find Abby in fruitless revenge. When Ellie was gone, Dina left and moved back to Jackson with you. Jesse's parents offered her to stay with them, but she decided it would be best to raise her baby under her own roof. It was rough, very rough. In all honesty, taking care of you was much easier when Ellie was around. Ellie had a way to get you to calm down when you suddenly became fussy, Dina, however, did not have that "talent." Being a single mother wasn't easy, but so far, she's been doing as well as she can be.

She was bouncing you in her arms in an attempt to calm you down. She understood you were in pain right now, 6-months-old and teething. It hurt to see you cry because of the pain, but there was nothing more she could do aside from giving you cold things to gnaw on and comfort you when you began crying.

"I know, honey, I know," she said gently, stroking your cheek with her thumb as you wailed, "I'm sorry, baby."
