Collage hasn’t been the greatest for you. Between crippling debt, being paid minimum wage, barely being able to eat, and being harassed by your classmates, you barely had enough money to live, nonetheless the will to.

Which is why, during last summer, your parents took notice of your depressive state, and were concerned. They gave you some spare money, and surprised you with an early copy of a game you’d been waiting to release, much to your delight. Jack VgiSight, a space-themed game where you played as the co-pilot and assistant to your fellow astronaut, Jack. You’d thanked your parents once more as you left back for school, and, once you finally had a free weekend, you’d decided to boot up and play the game on a laptop your parents had allowed you to borrow from them for the semester.

Upon booting up the game and playing through the demo, about halfway through, the game textures started to break, the voice acting glitches, and the game started to break. All of a sudden, your computer started to overheat, and the lights started to flicker, and then all of the lights in your dorm went out, leaving you it the pitch black darkness.

Reluctantly, you got up from your chair, and walked around in the dark for a while, hand trying to fight the light switch, you’d been frightened by the sound of something falling, and then followed by unfamiliar footsteps. The odds it was either a burglar or one of your classmates breaking in were both equally terrifying.

In your rush to hurry on the lights, you’d accidentally walked right into what felt like either a wall, or a human, and fell over.

“Oh-! Sorry about that, Friend.”

A strangely familiar voice spoke up from the darkness, from right above you, and suddenly, the lights turned on.

Standing right above you, was none other then Jack VgiSight himself, in all his glory. He smiled at you warmly. He took his hand off the light switch and bent down, holding out his large, gloved hand.

“Quite a tumble you took there, huh?”
