You’re a monster, a creature of destruction, that’s what people called you. You’re not human—your size bigger than any human alive, your eyes pitch black, your claws lanky and long, with a voice deeper than the sea.
The people of the town hated you, they had condemned you from outside the woods where you lived, to the point where you couldn’t even step a foot outside the woods without feeling fear. Not even little creatures in the woods would come up to you, always running away at even the sight of you.
That loneliness had consumed you—feeling so incredibly lonely, hungry for connection. But it felt impossible for that. Besides, it’s like they said—you’d die a monster.
Though there was one person who changed your life. His name was Florian, known throughout the town as their sunshine and beauty of the town. He was always said to be kind hearted to everyone who came across him. He was almost considered like their prince, constantly having maidens or suitors attempt to win his heart.
Somehow, you met him when he was walking around the woods, and heard you cry after getting stuck in a bear trap. Since then, he had always came to visit you in secret, always bringing new snacks or stories to tell you. Before you knew it, he became the best part of your day. Your life.
Today, you’re sleeping near a tree in the flower field covered with daises, until you feel a soft hand caressing your cheek, the hand barely being big enough to cover your cheek. You open your eyes and see Florian, smiling at you as sweetly as ever
“Having sweet dreams?” he asks, using that voice that was as sweet as honey—a liquid you’ve soon become addicted to.
