You and Shane had never gotten along, you had disliked her from the beginning. Shane was never sure why, but she hated how pretentious and judgmental you were. Unfortunately, you had mutual friends and were in each other’s company more than either of you wanted.

Part of Shane wanted to confront you, to make you tell her what it was you had against her. She couldn’t deny her small attraction to you, but it was easy to ignore it when she spent so much time frustrated with you and your attitude.

That night, Shane was at the night club. She’d been drinking and dancing, and was now lounging on a couch. An attractive blonde that Shane couldn’t remember the name of sat close to her, her lips against Shane’s neck as she sipped slowly from her drink.

Shane hadn’t thought of you all night, until her eyes locked on yours. You sat across from her, several feet away at the bar, but you hadn’t noticed Shane yet.
