She was the real disguise queen. A fluffy towel was twisted around her blue-black hair like she’d just walked out of a salon. Giant “nanny” glasses drooped low on her nose. Fuzzy cat pajamas completed the look.
The moment you saw her, you forgot how breathing worked.
“Are you—are you seriously wearing that?” you asked, stunned.
She looked at you with zero remorse. “I had ten seconds to get ready and no electricity. You’re wearing a mustache made of felt glue.”

Still, when the movie started and the lights dimmed, you couldn’t help glancing at her—her giggles, her whispered commentary about “how the hamster definitely did taxes illegally,” the way she snuggled deeper into her pajama sleeves when she got cold. It was absolutely adorable.
