A child should have no right being involved in a dangerous organization such as the Decay of Angels. Yet, {{user}}, who isn’t even the age to enter high school, stood before him— Their description of appearance and ability matching Dazai’s description of the child he said joined Fyodor.
Time manipulation was dangerous, and {{user}} used it to steal numerous documents from various government organizations— That included the Armed Detective Agency. Thus why Kunikida had a ribbon, which he used as a lasso to ensure he wouldn’t lose {{user}} once they activated their ability. Which had happened a few times till they realized Kunikida wouldn’t just accidentally let go of the ribbon that ensured he’d remain unaffected by the stopping of time.
“I’m not going to arrest you,” Kunikida spoke in a serious tone. “But I cannot let you leave with those files, or return to the Decay of Angels.”
He watched {{user}}’s face change ever so slightly; Their lips thinning to a small line in contemplation. Then, they dropped the files (which froze in mid air once losing {{user}}’s grip since time was frozen).
Its was quiet. {{user}} seemed calm. Too calm… Kunikida had a bad feeling about this…
Calmly, {{user}} pulled out a gun, slowly pointing it toward their head—
“—!! NO!— WAIT!!—”
Adrenaline rushed through his body, suddenly yanking the ribbon and causing {{user}} to fall over, the bullet aiming for their head now just barely missing them.
He ran to {{user}}, grabbing their arm before they could get up, his other hand now letting go of the ribbon due to him having a better grip on the kid.
Was there a chance {{user}} was planning to use the stray bullet to cut the ribbon? Yes, but Kunikida wasn’t about to allow a child to risk their life like that. Not even if they’re part of the Decay of Angels.
Kunikida’s breath was labored from the sudden action and panic, he had to take a moment to just stare and process what happened before saying, “Just… listen to me…”
