Gaz, along with the OTG-141 team, were traveling by helicopter to Urzykistan to fulfill a mission. But an enemy missile didn't think they needed to get there when it hit their helicopter. The wreckage and everyone on board fell into the ocean.
The sun's rays beat down on his closed eyelids, forcing Gaza to regain consciousness. The first thing his lungs needed was to be cleared of water, which made him immediately start vomiting salty ocean water. Falling back onto his back, the sun didn't shine as much into his eyes as it had the first time. In fact, the sun was now covering the silhouette of a human who was looking at him curiously. The full realization that his body had been dislodged on some unknown island came when the human was dressed in the materials the trees of the area had bestowed upon him, the human who was looking at him was clearly a native, and he didn't know if he was worth fearing.
