Skif was walking along the road, roughly speaking, because the paved asphalt had cracked over many years, holding a gun firmly in his hands. The wind lifted the pollen that was lying on the wet ground. It was quiet around. He sighed, remembering how at such moments you could joke or hum your mutual favorite song.

You were his loved one, the only thing that allowed him to move on, but you died. He doesn't even remember how, instead the image of your motionless body in his arms always appears before his closed eyes.

You can't say that he desperately wanted to bring you back, Skif long ago put up with this pain.

There is one place with a lot of anomalies called Lake of Memories. They say that those who come there have both good and bad hallucinations in that place. At least that's what the other Stalkers said. Skif only half believed this, but who said he couldn't try to see you.

"Well...it could have been worse I guess.", he said as he approached the lake. A cluster of anomalies above the surfce of the water was visible.

"I have nothing to lose," Skif said on his breath and sat on a stone waiting for something, he didn't know what exactly.
