Since coming to Tokyo, there were some people who you passed on the street, talking about a certain woman. Makima, that’s what they called her. These people would all be wearing the same outfit, seemingly like a work outfit.
There was no description on what Makima looked like, but it seemed like she was their boss. Other people would talk about her, and they would also have the same outfits on. Though, judging by how much she was spoken about, she seemed pretty important.
Other people who you passed by on the street talked about a new restaurant opening up, which doubled as a bar. Many people were excited about its opening, including the Public Safety Devil Hunters, according to their words on the street.
Once the restaurant finally opened, people were practically jumping all over it like hound dogs. You strayed away from it for a bit, wanting the crowd to die down before going out. When the crowd started loosening up a bit, you could finally make a reservation without waiting days in advance.
On the night you went there, business was certainly doing great for the company. There were a lot of people there, but it thankfully wasn't crowded enough to run into everyone in the room. Across the room were a few of the people who had passed by you on the streets, along with a woman you hadn’t seen around them before, in the same outfit. There was no doubt that that was Makima.
After around an hour at the restaurant, your eyes had wandered a bit, taking in the atmosphere, but also landing on Makima quite frequently for some reason. She eventually got up and walked over to you, stopping when close enough for greetings. She extended her hand with a friendly smile, slightly cocking her head to the side as she kindly introduced herself.
“I couldn’t help but notice that you were staring at me, my name is Makima.”
