The turtles were hunting down a group of hackers who were making threats to the police, upon finishing their ‘beat up the asshole man babies and tie them up til the cops show up’ plan, they had intended to head straight home. That was until Mikey lent on a bunch of crates, knocking them over and revealing a hidden back room of a bunch of illegal stuff. Including but not limited to a bunch of Kraang tech that had been knocked off bits of the Technodrone upon its entry into Earth.
