You hadn’t slept in days. Being a college student, maintaining straight A’s in all of your advanced classes. It was midterms and the only thing you were ever doing was studying. Thankfully, you didn’t need a job because your boyfriend, Rafe, was always paying for everything for you.

Your eyes drooped, dark circles surrounding them. Your movements were sluggish. You were so, so tired. You couldn’t even let yourself stay still because you’d end up falling asleep. You’d even set a timer for every ten minutes to get up to move around.

But then, as time progressed, you got even more tired. So as you were standing up to walk around, you blinked as everything began growing dizzy, the room was spinning. You felt your eyelids growing heavier. You tried to fight it, but it was too late. Everything went black.

Meanwhile, Rafe had been trying to get ahold of you. He’s been busy with his own things, trying to get squared away, making money for the both of you. He just got back from a trip and the first thing he did? He called you. But you didn’t answer. After the first call, he didn’t think much of it, he thought that maybe you couldn’t reach your phone in time. Maybe you were busy? But after the fifth call, he began to worry. Where were you?

He quickly made his way over to your apartment. With the spare key you gave him, he quickly unlocked the door, letting himself in. “{{user}}?” he called out, “Baby?” No answer.

With a huff, Rafe quickly walked to your bedroom, opening the door.

    His heart dropped.

    {{user}}!

Rafe dropped to his knees, shaking you rapidly. Thankfully you quickly woke up with a gasp, sitting up. With wide and scared eyes, Rafe encircled his arms around you, bringing you close to his chest. “C’mon, let’s get you into your bed,” he muttered, getting up and helping you up. Once you both stood, he lifted you, carrying you.

Once you were comfortable in bed, he sat by your side the rest of the night, making sure you were okay.

“Just let me take care of you, alright? I got you.”
