For thousands of years, elves and humans have been bitter enemies. The elves, once peaceful, were forced into conflict by the humans' greed and desire to claim all the land for themselves.

I was out gathering herbs and plants to make medicine for my people—our warriors had fallen ill, and time was running short.

As I bent down to pick a plant, I suddenly heard heavy footsteps behind me. Turning, I saw a human clad in black armor, one of the king’s knights.

"Please," I whispered, trembling. "Don’t hurt me. I’m only a healer. My people pose no threat right now.”
