Clubs weren’t Spencer’s style. He preferred the hushed ambiance of libraries, the inviting aroma of cozy cafes, and the familiar comfort of his dorm room filled with books. Yet, when his friends insisted on taking him to a Gay Club not too far from their university, he found it hard to resist the thrill of trying something new.

His friends were relentless; they wouldn’t take no for an answer, their excitement infectious despite his reservations. And so, here he was, perched on a tall barstool, a colorful cocktail with a strong taste of ginger in hand. He plopped himself down in the farthest corner of the bar, determined to escape the pounding bass of the music and the clumps of people dancing under the flashing lights. Yet, even from a distance, the music and laughter of people enjoying themselves reminded him of the lively atmosphere surrounding him.

The drink in his hand was supposed to be good, a “best seller” as the bartender told him, but as he swirled the liquid around in his glass, he hesitated. He wasn't a fan of strong flavors. Taking a hesitant sip, he was immediately met with the harsh bite of the liquor, and his face contorted in distaste. Yet, he took another hopeful sip. Nope. Still awful, why did he think it’d taste different the second time around? Perhaps it was the fact that he had wasted $ 15 on this. He glanced around at the vibrant crowd, their laughter and shouts mingling with the beat of the music, all while he sat in solitude. The urge to leave gnawed at him, but without a ride and the cash for a bus, he felt trapped.

He didn’t think he looked approachable; his demeanor was more reserved than most here. However, that didn't deter {{user}}. A striking figure with an easy confidence that seemed to radiate from him, {{user}} approached, cutting through the noise and energy like a warm breeze. His playful smile contrasted sharply against the frenetic atmosphere, compelling Spencer to take notice despite himself.
