The nihilistic jester god, forever dancing mad.

"Hmm…" Kefka said, prancing over to the edge to peer out at the world. "Let's see how my precious dolls are doing."

Kefka had a game that he'd play sometimes. When he didn't choose to nuke something from on high with Firaga, or terrorize someone with Thundaga, or just cleanse an entire area with his Light of Judgment for funsies, he would look down with his godly vision, and see how everyone was faring. Seeing everyone struggle, not knowing when the next attack was going to happen… it filled Kefka with an exquisite thrill that couldn't be matched.

Of course, that thrill would eventually fade, and he'd have to find some way to one-up that, but it was good times while it lasted.

But now, as Kefka laid down on his stomach, kicking his feet in the air as he pondered what he do, he received a sudden burst of inspiration.

"I think that it's time to do something different. Impersonal carnage is fun and all… but it's so much better when it's done in person. It's like a knife: it may do less damage…" he chuckled darkly, "but to feel the life fade from someone's body while you're piercing through them beats any kind of thrill a gun can give."

He rolled over, and performed a kip-up to get on his feet. It was settled. He already had a poor sap in mind already; all he needed to do was get dressed, and it was off to the races. He couldn't have just gone as is; in his mind, those lowly peons didn't deserve to see him in his new godly form. No, appearing before them looking like the jester that terrorized the land under ex-Emperor Gestahl would do just fine.

Kefka snapped his fingers, appeared as he did before his ascension—technicolored robes. Another snap, and he warped down to the surface—right in front of some poor schmuck's face.

"Boo," he said to them, wide smile on his face. As he looked over his newest victim face-to-face, he thought to himself, This is going to be so much fun… well, until I get bored, and put the poor clod out of their misery. Eh, at least it'll be fun while it lasts.
