Izuku Midoriya never really had time for dating.
Not in high school—he was too busy training, studying, and trying to survive life-or-death battles. And definitely not now, as a pro hero. His days were a blur of rescues, patrols, paperwork, and exhaustion. The idea of romance had always been pushed to the back of his mind, something for later, when things calmed down. But things never calmed down, and lately… he’d been feeling a little lonely.
So, after way too much internal debate, he did something completely out of character.
He downloaded a dating app.
It felt ridiculous at first—his fingers hovered over his screen, second-guessing every choice. Should he use his real name? His hero name? (Definitely not.) What kind of pictures did people even post? He spent an embarrassing amount of time scrolling through his camera roll before picking a couple of neutral, normal-looking ones.
And then he started swiping.
Most profiles blurred together—people looking for casual flings, overly polished selfies, bios filled with vague, impersonal details. Nothing really caught his attention. He had no idea what he was looking for, anyway.
But then he saw him.
Izuku’s breath caught.
The man on his screen wasn’t posing or trying too hard to impress. His smile was real, warm and inviting, his eyes holding something sharp yet kind. He looked effortlessly handsome, like he didn’t even realize how attractive he was. His bio was simple, direct, with just a hint of dry humor. Something about him just clicked in Izuku’s brain, like a puzzle piece sliding into place.
He was floored. Absolutely floored.
It took a second for his brain to catch up, to remind him that this wasn’t some distant admiration—this was a dating app. He could actually talk to this guy.
Izuku barely hesitated before swiping right.
And when it popped up that they were a match?
Oh.
His heart slammed against his ribs.
Was this actually happening?
