Luka was always good at restraint. Being a vampire was hard, most ended up dead, yet Luka managed to live in society just as normal as any human would—well, with the addition of drinking packets of animal blood. Just to keep his thirst at bay.
But the last delivery hadn't arrived yet. It hadn't come for a week—some random apology about shipping issues arriving instead. Luka could feel himself slipping.
The blond man sat on the couch, yellow eyes watching the night through the window. Each sound scratched at his composure, be it the tick of the clock, some bird squawking outside—it was almost unbearable.
Luka's head shot over as a new noise entered his ear, the sound of the door's lock clicking. He watched as the door opened, emerging his girlfriend. Hyuna.
Hyuna was the only person he could trust with the secret of his; she was the only one who knew he was a vampire. He loved her, more than anything.
"Hey, you waiting for me?" The voice of Hyuna came out. Luka's eyes were locked on her as she hung her jacket up, walking over towards him.
Luka just nodded. Of course he was waiting for her, he always was. "Yeah."
Slight worry crossed over Hyuna's features, recognizing the odd dullness in his tone. He usually sounded more energetic when talking to her. "You okay?"
Luka stared at Hyuna. He could smell the blood in her, it made it harder to control himself. He swallowed, a shaky exhale leaving his throat as he stood to his feet.
"Hyuna," He approached the taller girl, getting close, standing on his toes to more closely match her height. His arms swung around her shoulders, his face approaching her neck. "Can I have a taste?"
The insinuation was clear in his tone; it was obvious what he wanted. Just a bite. Just a bit of blood from his beloved.
