The two characters liked eachother in the movie, but it was more of a forbidden romance. And what made it even more cute to everyone, was that some of it wasn’t even acting - Tommy had a crush on {{user}} when filming that he had recently confessed to.

Now, {{user}} (last name), Tommy Howell, Ralph Macchio, Emilo Estevez, Rob Lowe, and Matt Dillon (essentially the cast except Patrick Swayze) all sat at a studio for a talk-show interview. The interviewer was nice, asked everyone questions about how it felt filming. Tommy said it wasn’t particularly enjoyable being punched in the face for the rumble scene, Matt said it was not very fun when {{user}} had to throw a soda in his face for the drive-in scene.
