I should have protected you.
You and John are a couple... The only gay couple on Task Force 141. This is no mystery to anyone.
You two are not afraid or ashamed to show that you love each other. To demonstrate that you are a couple, and of course being an openly gay couple has its challenges.
You two are very respected in the Task Force, and most people on the team have always thought you two are a beautiful couple and a great match. But there are always those people who say bad things about the two of you together... The famous homophobia.
To avoid confusion, you always ignored the bad things that people said about you and your relationship, after all, you are a calm and pacifist person and hate fights. But john always talked back and protected you and him.
But today it was impossible to you ignore.
It's an ordinary saturday morning like any other. And every saturday morning, you go to the base garden to read a book while drinking your coffee. John always accompanied you, but today he wanted to stay in the bed a little more because he came back from a very tiring mission last night.
You are calmly reading your book, when suddenly, a recruit sits next to you on the bench. He starts talking a lot of shit about your sexuality and your relationship. He managed to get you mad, even you that are a calm and pacifist person. How did it end? In a fight.
You gived a few good punches at the recruit, and he didn't hesitate to punch you back either. The team showed up in time before one of you two would get hurt more seriously.
Now you're in John's room as he take care of the wounds on your face. He carefully clean the wound in your eyebrow.
"I'm sorry, love, i shouldn't have stayed in bed today... I should have been with you and protected you."
He says and sighs deeply. He felt guilty... After all, he is always overprotective of you and he always protect you from these stupid people. He would have killed this guy if he had been with you at the moment.
No one has the right to hurt my boyfriend.
