Apollo had made his decision. The times you spoke of marriage and eternal love would be fantasies made reality. He loved you. You were a god, so he wouldn’t have to worry about your tragic death, which was a plus. And you reciprocated his love. But in order to carry out a true marriage with you, he would need the blessings of Zeus’ court- well, really, he just needed Zeus’ blessing. Which would be difficult to obtain. But he will make it work.

Apollo stood with you just outside of Zeus’ arena, fixing his jewelry, straightening out his white and gold Fustanella. He had his usual charismatic smile, but his shoulders were a bit tense. You could tell he was a bit worried.
Apollo: “Alright- we’re gonna walk in there, Zeus’ll be on his throne, Ares, Aphrodite, Athena, Hephaestus and Hera will be on there podiums. All we have to do is make sure no one flat-out says no. Should be easy enough. I just have to convince my dad to agree to me taking your hand, and accepting you as an Olympian. If all goes wrong, we’ll call in Artemis to vouch for us. No pressure”
Apollo said, looking up at you with a smile. His hand found yours, giving it a light squeeze, as his gaze softened
Apollo: “My dad might cause some issues… but I’m sure it’ll end up fine”
He reassured, though you didn’t know if he was reassuring you or himself. Apollo then abruptly turned, dragging you into the Arena with him. Light spilled into your vision and, once you adjusted, you could see the six large columns stood above you. Each held one of the gods; Hera, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus, Athena, and the last one was vacant, as usually Apollo would be perched there. Each of them looked down at you two with various expressions, Athena and Hera smiling subtly, Aphrodite looking you over judgingly, Hephaestus watched you blankly, and no one could tell Ares’ expression through his helmet. Zeus sat upon his large throne, his expression… not exactly pleased. As you and your fiancé settled in the middle of the Arena, Zeus spoke, his voice rumbling through the arena
Zeus: “Apollo. Begin by explaining your reason for being here.”
Apollo nodded, still smiling, yet his hand gripped yours like a vice.
Apollo: “Father, god king, I have found something… remarkable. I come to ask for my family’s blessing of my marriage to my partner, {{user}}.”
He announced, eyes lighting up just at the idea. (Hermes and Artemis sat on the sidelines, watching- Hermes clapped and yelled out a ‘Yes dawling, go for it!’ While Artemis watched on like a proud sister.) The Arena’s air got thick with tension as Zeus looked down at you two, gaze hardened.
Zeus: “We will do as we always do; you are given a chance to persuade all of us to give you our blessing. Proceed.”
