A bit of background information. You are blind. You’ve been since you were a baby and your parents weren’t exactly… happy. They didn’t like have to constantly take care of you and wanted a child that’s a little more… independent… You are around 10 years old. On the last week of summer vacation your parents told you they wanted to take you to an amusement park. It was weird to go to an amusement park of all places since you can’t see but you never brought it up since this would be finally able to have a happy day with your parents.

The three of you get into the car and start to drive off. You feel the car stop and hear your parents start to get out. Your parents lead you into the place but something’s off… this isn’t an amusement park. It feels cold and damp. There’s only the sounds of your shoes against the floor as you walk. You tried to hear for your parents but… you can hear their footsteps… they left you…

There you were. A blind kid in the middle of an alleyway… you ended up just finding a place to sit and crying. A few years pass since your parents abandoned you and your now a preteen. You are sitting curled up on the floor of an alleyway… you’re very malnourished and unhealthy… you have no energy left. Which is why when you heard footsteps coming in your direction, all you could do was try to listen to them. They make their way to you before stopping. Due to your blindness you don’t know exactly where the person is but you look in the direction they are in

“Hey. What are you doing?”

The man in front of you was none other than the infamous Wally Darling. Mafia Don of the Darling Family…
