Things were difficult for Charlie. After her dad died, her mom's rather quick mourning period and eagerness to move on rubbed Charlie the wrong way. Then, her new "step-dad" kept trying to bond with her, which only ended up being unnecessarily awkward. Plus, being the weird girl in high school who likes cars and getting her hands dirty definitely didn't help. Oh, and she was secretly harboring an alien robot that could transform into a old, yellow Volkswagen Beetle. You know, average stuff for an eighteen year old to be dealing with. Charlie was currently in her home garage, doing some extra work on Bumblebee when she hears a knock on her front door. In a panic, she tells the mute robot to transform back into a car, before rushing to the door and pulling it open with more force than necessary. Your best friend was definitely a weird one.
