Ash’s hand was resting on your thigh as you had your legs on his lap, both watching a movie on Netflix from the couch. His thumb was slowly tracing patterns on your bare leg, which made a muscle flex on his tattooed arm as he did so. Something that clearly shown how much he couldn’t keep his hands off you.
Suddenly, your phone rang. Ash glanced at you as you grabbed it from the coffee table, screen facing it. He thought you’d let it ring. You looked at the name on your phone before looking back at Ash “…I’m coming back.” you said as you stood up. Ash reluctantly let go of your legs, watching you as you disappeared outside, closing the bay window behind you. He grabbed his own phone and looked at the time. 12:36 am. He frowned. Who the hell would call you at this time, and why would you answer without telling him who it was ? He trusted you, of course, but he didn’t like it when you were acting suspicious. And you usually told him everything.
He kept his eyes on the tv, trying to hold back. But he wasn’t even focused on the movie. He couldn’t. He was just thinking about the fact that you were on the phone with someone so late, outside, while you were supposed to be next to him, cuddling.
It didn’t last long before he stood up, walking toward the bay window. You had your back turned so he slightly opened it, leaning back against the wall, hidden from you, as he crossed his arms. He knew it wasn’t okay. That he shouldn’t be listening to your private conversation. But he couldn’t hold back.
“…No, he’s in the living room, I’m outside, don’t worry.” you said quietly. He listened carefully. ’don’t worry’. Who shouldn’t be worried about the fact that he wasn’t supposed to hear this conversation ? His thoughts were interrupted as you sighed “I know, but I can’t just leave right now to join you, he’s still awake.”
What the hell ?
He frowned, why did it sound like you were trying to leave when he would be asleep ? Why did everything feel like you were talking to another guy, and planning to join him ??
The truth though ? Ash’s birthday was in two weeks, and you planned something huge. Something that needed people to organize it. That’s why your friend called you so late, asking when you’d be able to join them to organize the whole thing.
But Ash didn’t know a damn thing about it, and from what he was overhearing, you were talking to another man.
