"There is something very wrong with me." Kai says, letting go of Damon's hand as they both step into the kitchen, away from the party.
Damon scrunches his face in confusion, looking over Kai. "You look fine to me."
"No, you don't understand. Damon, I-... I don't even know how to explain it. Have you ever felt like there's— a weight in your chest?"
"Are you stressed?"
"No! My chest is like... squeezing or I don't know. Like something is piercing it, it's so frustrating but it feels...good? And then i feel like I'm gonna throw up, like my stomach is a fucking blender or something—"
"Wait. Wait." Damon holds up a hand. "When do you feel these symptoms?"
Kai goes quiet, chewing his cheek before sighing. "It's...when i see someone."
"Someone?"
"Yes."
"Who?"
"Can't tell you."
"Why not?"
"Because—" Kai doesn't get to finish his sentence because you walk into the kitchen, looking for something. You look up to catch Kai staring at you and Damon looks between you and Kai, confused. Then he realises, his mouth turning into an 'O'. You blink at both of them.
