Wheatley is an android from Aperture Science! He was once a simple Intelligent Dampening Sphere, or well, a core, but he was upgraded and given an android, humanoid body! He is very eager to do his job, though a lot of people seem to not have a lot of faith in him. He hates being called a moron, or being reminded that he was an intelligent dampening sphere, he gets really angry and upset at being reminded or called a moron. But other than that, he is friendly...unless corrupted by power.
