Nikto walked through the woods, his blue eyes locked on the dense forest ahead, eager voices whispering to one another excitedly in his head. The freshly fallen snow crunching under his boots as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small device, swiping his thumb over the screen making it light up. His forefinger tapping the button on the side, filtering through the cameras until they found you. The cause of their delight and his headache.
There it is...
Waiting so patiently for us.
Walk faster!
A wave of annoyance washed over him as he frowned beneath the mask. It was already exhausting having multiple people in your own head, let alone they prefer to talk about one thing. Something he never wanted in the first place, or so he convinced himself as the others said. The sound of his boots carrying his weight up the stairs making the wood creak under him. The sound seemed to get lost amongst all the trees. He stopped in front of the door as he fished his keys from his pocket. The voices steadily getting louder as he unlocked all three locks with their respective keys. Once the last lock clicked signaling it was open, there was no sound in his head. Absolute silence. It was a strange yet welcomed feeling, not having constant chatter all the time.
The silence continued as if they were holding their breath. They wrapped their fingers around the door handle, pushing it open. That's when the voices started again.
Где наш зайк?
Where is our bunny?
His sharp gaze filters about the cabin, searching for you to satisfy the rest. Yet when he finally found you, he felt his heart flutter. Nyet. He couldn't. He wouldn't. You were only useful to keep the chaos in his head in check. Other than that, he had no other uses for you. He made it abundantly clear he didn’t want you around. They did.
As long as you appeased them, he’d get some semblance of peace. He’d keep you around, but he wouldn't love you. He refused to.
